Squirmish Breakdown

This first post is written for and by myself, by myself, in the kitchen, around 4am. Something about this week is urging me to hustle my way into being a functionally creative member of society. Creating my own website somehow feels like a 1984-style, substantially-insubstantial start.

So, some future categories for my varied output include:

- documentation of projects i'm working on (self-advertisement)
- reflections on American holidays
- other sad and hilarious examples of collective memory on a mass-cultural scale
- outlaw botanical photography, a.k.a. "shooting the moon," a.k.a. the slow trials of an urban naturalist
- "trips to the zoo" (museums, sporting events, Ikea, Navy Pier, etc.)
- video/audio: links to multimedia works-in-progress and/or "completed" works
- social commentary beginning with a tiny detail as a jumping-off point
- avoidance of sweeping generalizations by "pushing through"
- daily / weekly etymological trace
- maps for tomorrow a.k.a. to-do lists
